Aurelia

Atelier salon. Ossington, Toronto.

Hair that feels like your own.

Editorial colour, cut, and care. A small team of stylists making considered work for clients who want their hair to look like a version of themselves.

Established 2019

We work with hair that already has a strong personality. Our job is to make a cut, a colour, or a treatment fit the head it actually sits on not the head we wish it was.

Services

Four rooms. One conversation.

Every appointment begins with a consultation. We do not put you in a chair until we have agreed on what we are doing and what it will cost. Pricing below shows ranges because the right number depends on length, density, and the work in front of us.

01

Cut & Style

Considered haircuts shaped to face, lifestyle, and how you actually wear your hair the other twenty-eight days a month.

02

Colour

Hand-painted balayage, foil work, gloss refreshes. Every colour begins with the lighting in your kitchen, not the lighting in our salon.

03

Treatments

Bond-rebuilding, hydration, scalp work. Our treatments are layered into other services, never sold as a panic add-on.

04

Extensions

Tape-in and hand-tied extensions, fitted and coloured to the head you actually have. We do not sell extensions to clients we cannot maintain.

Stylists

You are booking a person, not a salon.

Our stylists work to their own strengths. A consultation pairs you with the person whose practice fits the work in front of you. Most clients stay with the same stylist for years. That is what we are aiming for.

The salon

A small studio for a slower kind of hair appointment.

Aurelia opened in 2019 above a record store on Ossington. We booked four chairs and stayed at four chairs. The room is built for the appointment, not the volume. Natural light from the north, music kept low, no rushing the consultation.

Our team trains together once a month, often with visiting educators. We share notes on every colour correction. The salon culture is small enough that everyone knows your hair history by your second visit.

From our clients

I had been to four salons in two years before Amara. She spent forty minutes on consultation before she touched my hair, and I have not gone anywhere else since.
Saira K.Client since 2021
Noor took me from box-dye burgundy to a real auburn over three appointments. She told me what was possible and what was not. That kind of honesty is the whole reason I trust her with my colour.
Devon M.Client since 2022
Aurelia is the only salon I have been to where the consultation feels like a conversation, not a sales pitch. They have turned down work they did not think suited me. That is rare.
